Settings overview
How the Settings section is organized, how changes are saved, what changes with your plan, and the list of every section.
The Settings section (#settings) of the admin panel is titled System Settings ("Configure system behavior and preferences for all users"). Every setting applies to the whole organisation.
The sections
On a computer the sections sit in the left column, in four groups; on a phone they are in a drop-down menu. The open section is part of the address, for example #settings/approval.

|---|---|---|
| General | Brand | Pro |
| System: registration and domains | Pro | |
| Timezone | all | |
| Seats and subscription | all | |
| Holidays & Leave | Visibility | Pro |

Sections that your plan does not include show a padlock next to the name and, inside, a box with the feature name, the Upgrade pill and the line Disponibile con il piano Pro (or Business), which the interface never translates: it means "available with the Pro plan". Clicking the pill opens the Scegli il tuo piano window (Italian for "choose your plan", also left untranslated): see Plans and free trial.
During the free trial every Pro section is available.
How changes are saved
- In most sections changes are not immediate: as soon as you change something, a bar with Cancel and Save changes appears at the bottom. The bar disappears once the save goes through; there is no green message. If something fails, a red box appears at the top of the page.
- Some sections have their own button (Save, Save Logo Settings, Save Email Configuration, Save closures) and their own confirmation message.
- Uploading a logo takes effect straight away, with no save.
- The Refresh button at the top right reloads all the panel data.
Every change records who made it and when.
Which values apply if you have never saved
Sections show a value even when nothing was ever saved: that is the default. In this guide every setting states its own default.
To be sure a value is really applied, it has to have been saved at least once. If it matches the value already on screen, the Save changes button does not appear: type a different value, save, then put back the one you want and save again. This matters above all for Minimum advance notice and Maximum consecutive working days, where the value shown before the first save does not match the one the server applies (see Request approval), and for the Registration toggle, which also governs whether people are activated automatically (see System: registration and domains).
What is not a setting
- Departments are created from the Departments section of the panel, not from here.
- The plan and the seat cap are handled by the billing platform: in Seats and subscription you only see them, read only.
- There is no default language for the organisation: language is a personal preference.
- The medical certificate for sick leave is always required and cannot be configured.
- Carrying unused days from one year to the next is not configured from the panel: there is no toggle and no rule to pick. If you need something different from the default behaviour, write to support.
- The default vacation allowance offered in invitations and given to people who sign up on their own (20 days) cannot be changed here: you correct it person by person from the Employees tab.
- There is no master switch for emails: to change the sender there is Email Provider, and the only messages that really turn on and off are the birthday wishes and the team holiday summary.
