System: registration and domains

Whether people can sign up on their own from the sign-in page, and with which email domains.

For administratorsUpdated on 3 September 2026

The System section ("General system configurations") decides who can create an account in your organisation on their own, and it also governs the automatic activation of anyone who completes their profile, invited people included.

The System settings section, with the registration switches
Settings › System: registration, approval and allowed domains.

Registration

Two equivalent toggles: either one being off is enough to close self sign-up.

SettingDescription shownDefault
RegistrationAllow new employees to registeron
Show public registrationAllow registration from public /register pageon

With registration open:

  • the sign-in page shows Don't have an account? Register;
  • whoever signs up gets the verification email, completes their profile at first sign-in and is activated immediately, with no approval;
  • administrators receive New Employee Registered and New Employee Auto-Approved.

With registration closed:

  • the Register link disappears from the sign-in page; anyone who tries anyway gets Sign-ups are closed. Ask your administrator for an invitation.;
  • people get in by invitation only.

Email Domain Restriction

SettingDescription shownDefault
Email Domain RestrictionLimit registrations to configured company domains only (e.g.: yourcompany.net, yourcompany.com)on
Allowed DomainsEnter the email domains authorised for registrationnone

With the restriction on, whoever signs up has to use an email on one of the domains you listed (comma separated, without the @); otherwise they get Email non valida. Usa la tua email aziendale (@domain1, @domain2) (Italian for "invalid email, use your company address": the server sends this message untranslated). If the list is empty, registration is closed to everyone in practice, and the form says so: Required: enter at least one email domain to enable registration.

With the restriction off, any address can sign up (as long as registration is open).
